Das schöne Städtchen Gifhorn kann sich freuen, nicht nur, dass hier ein CSD gefeiert wird, nein, auch Tom Goss aus den USA wird hier auftreten und mit seiner Musik unterhalten.
55 Jahre nach den Aufständen in New York gedenkt die LGBTIQ*-Community den Mutigen von damals. Auf seiner Homepage verrät das Team des Gifhorner CSD: „Auch in Gifhorn leben und lieben Menschen, die eine andere sexuelle Orientierung und/oder Geschlechtsidentität oder Beziehungsform leben, als die heteronormative Mehrheitsgesellschaft. Auch im ländlichen Raum gibt es nach wie vor Diskriminierung, Vorurteile und Hass gegen ebensolche Menschen. Wir möchten auch 2024 dagegenhalten und einen großen CSD in Gifhorn veranstalten.“
